Another Old Man Weather Post

Utah set a record on Wednesday when the mercury hit 118 degrees by St. George. While that's at the opposite end of the state from us, I still feel like a part of history.

I would like to note that North Dakota's record high temperature is 121, set back in 1936. Incidentally, that was only six months after ND reached its record low temperature of -60. According to my source, "That temperature swing within a calendar year of 182 F degrees would be unprecedented in US Weather annals."

1936 was apparently a crazy year. If you care, click on the link for more info.
